Title:

Formaldehyde liberation during the manufacture and storage of composition materials

Research subject and fields:
Abstract:

The formaldehyde problems and regulations in wood-working industry are presented. Formaldehyde levels in the working environment and in the resindential environment are higher than formaldehyde level regulated by standard. For full stabilization of formaldehyde emission isn't necessary aging longer than two weeks. There is signficant interaction between formaldehyde-based wood products. Explanation for this interaction appears to be related to sink processes or absorption mechanism and emission suppression associated with formaldehyde partial pressure gradients.
